My 4G signal is always lit up even while on wifi. I've noticed more data used up. I've heard it's from the HD calling that came with lollipop. Is there a way to turn it off? I looked under phone settings but don't see anything that says HD?

If Verizon is your carrier, it's not on unless you active it in your account and turn it on in phone settings. I'm guessing you haven't done this are you'd know how to turn it off.

Edit: Also, unless you are using video calling no data charges apply.

I had the same problem after the Lollipop update. You will have to do a factory reset to fix the problem. I had to do it on my phone and my brothers phone. My phone is fine now. No more WiFi and and data at the same time.

Ok thanks! Just don't get why 4G is lit up same time as wifi?

Thanks for letting me know. Ugh I hate doing factory reset. I always end up losing a few videos. Even though their all backed up. It always looks like they're there but then won't play. I usually avoid a reset at all costs

Are the up and down arrows simultaneously lit up on both wifi and 4g?

I forgot to mention. That the 4G and WiFi will be light up at the same time. But as long as the when on WiFi that the arrows are flashing only under the WiFi symbol only and not under the 4G Symbol that is fine. On mine arrows was flashing under both WiFi and 4G when I was on WiFi. So I had to do a Factory reset.

I have andvanxed calling activated and when im on wifi the 4G is crossed out. Theu arent simultaneously on. What i found to work to get rid of that is to turn mobile data off under settings, not the notification bar or else it will flicker on and off at times

Yes. Not all the time but I've seen it twice since the update.

Ok so if I continue to have the same issue maybe I should go ahead and activate the HD calling? There isn't an additional charge on my bill right? I have the more everything plan

No extra charge but data if off wifi during a video call

I activated it on Verizon and made some test calls (before and after) to a landline. The sound quality after activation was so poor that I turned it off.

But the video calling button on the dialer is still there (grayed out) and the 4G symbol on the status bar all the time. I wish there were a way to go back to the way it was. :(
