The same thing happened to me. Not being able to toggle 4G really sucks. I took my Tbolt off of my charger at about 5 this morning and by 8 I was down to 45%

I am new to the Thunderbolt--2 days--I downloaded the Phone Info and followed the instructions and all seems to work well. The video was a big help also. Thanks to all who posted and made this easy for me.

So what setting is for 3G only to save on battery? I thought i remembered when Phone Info was first introduced someone said the Thunderbolt came set as EvDo only and to change it to CDMA+LTE/EvDo auto for solid 3G and no 4G search.

No, it comes set to CDMA+LTE/EvDo auto by default (i.e. 1X/3G/4G). The setting that may save on battery is CDMA auto (PRL) (i.e. 1X/3G).

Thanks. So far my battery was holding up much better using the CDMA+LTE/EvDo setting even though i am mainly in a non-4G area.
