How about just remembering those 4 digits to get access to all those so so very, very important photos and top important work data that you only keep in your phone!? Wtf?! Return the phone to its owner, maybe that person remembers those 4 digits. If you are the owner, next time, keep those so important and only photos/data somewhere else thna in your phone and try to remember just four digits. Lesson learnt.

If you have your samsung account, even if you dont have the features set up you can click to LOCK your device. It will ask you to make a pin. Enter that pin in your tablet and that will let you into your main account. You still wont be able to change the password but you can backup your data and then do a factory reset.

Infact once i had the screen unlocked i webt onto the samsung account for this device and clicked "more options" and it now allows me to select unlock my device which erased the lock password.
