How to unsync google

I use a Samsung Galaxy 7J so you will know what type phone I have. I think I have finally figured out why my phone is not saving my web activity in chrome. I use my phone to check work emails. Somewhere along the line i must have given my company permissions that i didnt realize. Im definately not tech savvy. I've noticed a G logo on my home screen that reads "successfully synced to (company name) company I work for. Is there anyway at all that I can separate my chrome activity from my work gmail, and my companies control, since this is my personal phone, if so how do i do it? Frustrated with it. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

On my Pixel (running 8.1/Oreo), if I open Chrome, tap the overflow menu (3 dots, top right corner), tap settings, I can see what account Chrome is syncing to. If I tap that account, I can change which account it's syncing to and what is syncing.
