how to use android market

So i'm a new android users, but I can't figure out how to make the Android market work.

I want to buy an app but it keeps telling me I need to sign into google. I sign in, it tells me I have contacts, calendar and gmail syncing and brings me back to the app screen. I hit "buy" again and I get the same login business.

Not sure what to do?

When you are signing into the marketplace again when it asks, are you using the same email address that you used when you first signed in on the device? if not, it may not recognize it.

Do you have a google checkout account? If not, that would likely be the problem.

The checkout account is created when you use it for the first time. If it is asking to sync contacts and such I would think they are using a different email address then what is currently listed on the device.

same email address. I only have one with google. I setup the google checkout this morning and still no luv.

Does it matter that I'm using a google apps email address. I go into my google services and it clearly shows google checkout, but my email address and account don't end in "gmail.com"

that could be it. im not 100% sure. do you have a regular gmail.com email addy you can test out?
