After the recent update there is no longer an option to use the backup password to unlock after an restart. Despite the fact that I used to use the password to unlock the tablet every time after an update when the fingerprint is not accepted, the option is now gone.
This time it only accepts a pattern of which I never used. On repeated wrong pattern inputs it only does a recurring 30 seconds time out and a seemingly infinite number of allowed attempts at the pattern.
Is there a way to unlock the tablet without using a factory reset? Device manager gives me an error to lock the device.
