Hi tomorrow I have a presentation, and I want to control my laptop from my tablet. I have done this before when my laptop and tablet are both connected to the same network using Splashtop or VNC.
But tomorrow I wont have network access. So I thought, why not turn on my tablets portable hot spot. Connect my laptop to it to the tablets network, then use my Splashtop/VNC on my tablet to connect to the laptops IP. Should work right? Well it doesn't. The laptop connects to the tablet fine. But the tablet doesnt recognize the address when I try to connect (which is odd cause it GAVE out that address right?). It looks like even though my tablet is giving out IPs, it doesnt think its on the same network.
Is there somehting I'm missing? Any other way to do this? My laptop doesnt have bluetooth.
FYI I'm using a Thinkpad android tablet, and a thinkpad laptop with Win7
