How to view photos via Cardboard

Seems like this should be simple, but I can't figure it out.

All I want to do is take 360-degree photos with the Cam 360 and then view them in my Cardboard viewer. I can download the photos to my phone and upload them to Google Photos, but I can't find any way to make them appear within Cardboard (even though other Photosphere photos do). What am I missing?

Yeah, my Google searches led me to that post as well. I didn't find anything there that was helpful.

However, I eventually did find this app: PSViewer. It was able to import my Cam 360 photos and display them via Cardboard. It's a solution, but not a particularly elegant one.

I'm really surprised a third-party solution is necessary for this. Why on earth isn't Google Photos compatible with Google Cardboard?

If you are still looking for a viewer GoPro GoVR Player works perfectly with the videos taken with the LG, just got my LG 360 today and found that player works.
