Android Central Question

Android Version: 8.1.0, Instagram Version: 139.0.0.0.42

The location permission in my Instagram app settings was turned on, and it's not possible that I turned it on myself.
The permission was turned on in a light, greyed-out green, different from how it looks if you normally turn a permission on.

I was able to toggle the switch to turn it off, and if I toggle it again, the permission is activated in the normal blueish shade of green. If I close the app and/or the settings and look at the permissions again, it remains in this regular shade of an activated permission. So I definitely didn't accidentally turn the permission on in the settings.

Because of my setup, it is currently not possible for me to turn on a permission from inside an app (The notification is shown, but the app doesn't react to anything anymore and has to be forcibly closed). Also, it is not registered in the settings if you click on "Allow" in the notification, I tried multiple times. So I definitely didn't accidentally turn the permission on from inside the app.

The "location" option in the general Android settings (settings -> security & location -> privacy -> location) has been turned off since before this happened.

Do any of you know what could have caused this? Is it technically possible for Instagram itself to do this? They and some other parties would certainly like to gain information about me.
