How will the 3g S2 work with texts, notifications with a different #?

I mean if we have a different # for the 3g S2 wouldn't a text be received only on that #, how would I receive texts from my phone's number on the S2? I'm assuming they have a way it works just like the regular s2 without needing your phone nearby, it would be a negative if 3g S2 requires you to be near your phone to get your phone's notifications.
