The odd thing about Lenovo is that they can clearly make super high-end laptops and desktops. I guess their budget/midrange mobile focus is a business decision. The recent Thinkphone is supposed to be pretty good, but I wouldn't trust Lenovo to update it regularly or for very long ...
Motorola told all of the tech reviewers, publicly, that they're offering three upgrades and four years of patches for the
Motorola Edge Plus (2023).
That would take it to Android 16, plus the patches. It'll remain to be seen.
I've never heard anything good about Lenovo laptops and pc's from friends and associates that live in that realm.
In fact, they've told me when they came on the scene, they were just Ok, but have steadily went downhill ever since. Of course, we're just talking opinions here.
The issues with my Edge+ 2023 SEEM to have diminished or even disappeared. We activated a screen lock and the Edge lights started working, however an update came in at, or around, the same time.
This phone is a screamer now and noticeably quicker and more responsive than my friend's S23 Ultra.
We are running the performance option to borrow 8GB from storage and adding to RAM, and we have 165 Hz refresh rate.
It's the upgrading question and poor support we are concerned with.
Samsung's always been on time and stellar in those areas.
We'll see what the S24 Ultra 256GB shows up as and prices out at, I guess.
