Okay Google Question

On my previous phone with an earlier version of Android... When I said Okay Google...

I would here a beep or ding and I could speak after that.

Now with Android 13 and a Motorola edge +2023..

I don't hear the ding... So I am not sure if the phone is prepared for me to speak. Do I need to turn on a setting to acquire this?

do you see the pop up of Google Assistant at the bottom of the phone screen? if yes, proceed. (Google Assistant is a hot mess right now)

If I'm close, I can see that. But, many times I'm across the room or have it face down, for Do Not Disturb to automatically engage.

Then I can't see the screen and depend upon the audio feedback to let me know it's ready for the query.
