HTC 10 sd card problem

I bought a SanDisk ultra sd card for my HTC 10

I have inserted it and formatted it, and I can see it when I look at phone memory

However, when I look through the apps to move them to the card (whatsapp, viber) the button for moving it to the card is greyed out

Any ideas?

Many apps will not let you move them to SD card. Viber is one of them, for sure.

I had viber and shazam on my sd card on my HTC one m8.

I have checked all my apps, including a nikon one and a weather one that were also on my m8 sd card

I have switched my phone off and on, tried removing and reinserting the card and I still have the same problem. The phone sees the card, it formats the card and shows that some of its storage has been used, but I can't move any apps to it or have my photos stored there. The option to move anything is greyed out.

I've tried moving items through the file manager too and I get the error message 'full access to the sd card not granted, please try again'
I can see the card and it's folders, so it's mounted and recognised.

I've also tried another sd card, and I'm getting exactly the same thing

If I can't put apps on there I think the phone is going to have to go back. I didn't have a single problem with my m8
