My card is too slow to be used as internal storage but can the phone still use it and how can I move files such as music and video to it

1. As long as the card is Class 10 or U1, it's plenty fast enough. (No one sells Class 6 or slower cards any more.)

2. Format it as external storage.

3. Use a file manager to copy files to the card. Once a copy is successful, delete the one in internal storage. (Don't "move" a file - if the move blows in the middle, you can be left with no file. If a copy blows, the original is still there.)

Welcome to Android Central! You can also connect the phone to your computer via USB, swipe down the notification panel to make sure the USB connection is set to MTP, and then use PC's Windows Explorer to drag and drop files between the phone and its SD card.

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded HTC file manager but I get a message stating "screen over lay detected" but I'm not sure what it means, any help would be greatly appreciated
