HTC 3D...wifi keeps turning on...by itself!!!

After owning an EVO 4G for a year I lined up for the 3D once available and have used it for the past 6 weeks without a hiccup. Now I notice the wifi mysteriously turns itself on whenever it likes. I've checked through all settings and can find nothing that would cause this...no app preference or anything. I threw out any of the apps running Skyhook in case that was the issue...no help.

Has anyone experienced this? Its making me a little nuts to think I don't have CONTROL

I have just bought a HTC sensation 4g and im having a similar problem with my mobile network coming on whenever it likes I have phoned Virgin mobile with no success I have also went to one of there booths in the mall and the guy there turned off my back ground apps or some of them anyway and that did not help. But if I figure out anything or actually get an answer to this i'll let you know and if you should figure out an answer or already have please let me know because like you this is driving me nutty thank you.
