HTC Amaze 4G Camera ported to 3D (MUCH improved PQ)

Still playing with this app. It's SO much better. LOVE it so far! Took a 3D pic of my cats playing and NO BLUR! With the stock app, I would have just had a big blur. Thank you for sharing this app! I wish there was more content for the 3D portion of this phone but at least the camera is fun to play with and a GREAT conversation piece when friends get together.

Fab: the x1440 resolution is what you get when it's set for widescreen. Can you set it to standard?

So, the Amaze camera has now taken over the 3d's stock camera. The phone shows 2 separate cameras installed yet every method of opening the stock app (icon on desktop, icon in app drawer, physical side button) results in the Amaze version starting. I've tried reinstalling the stock app, which fails to install. I've uninstalled the Amaze app leaving only the stock, which is still Amaze. What now? Flash CleanRom again?

My camera is fine. I have access to the amaze and the EVO camera apps.

gonk, I think that the .apk is a separate application file while the .zip actually overwrites the stock app when you install. The reason I say that is because when I installed it I recall a message coming on my screen that says that this application will take the place of an existing application and asked if I wished to continue. I went ahead and did it because I was using a hacked version of the htc camera anyway and I could always re-install if I wanted. If I get a chance I will see if I have the htc hacked camera on my sd card and if I do will post it for you if you want it.

I have it fixed now. Just did a flash to CleanROM 2.8 and all is well. Carrie, I think you're right in regards to the zip. That's what I had installed. This time I went with the apk and have 2 cameras.

I tried all of the versions for this and it still force closes on me whenever I open it . My phone is an all stock vm evo 3D .

Would love some more data on the 1080p video option. Whats the data rate of the video.. does it look like crap? and maybe a youtube post or 2?

I believe this is for gingerbread! That's probably why it force closes.

If your using ICS it will not work!

I have a non rooted EVO V from Virgin Mobile... I have installed the Amaze Camera successfully, but unfortunately it force closes before it even opens. I have downloaded and tried all the .apk files none work. Help Please
