Hello all,

I am another convert of the iphone users coming over to light side. Tonight I did something crazy and dumped my iphone 3gs and upgraded to the HTC inspire site unseen. Something I hardly ever do without getting my paws on the hardware.

Now I need to ask all the questions to the veterans owners.

First, what model is the HTC inspire based off of that was already on the market, I guess it was Verizons baby or T-mobile? Just curious because normally accessories will work with both right?

Do the Chinese have a battery upgrade yet for it?

What is one of the better cases for the unit?

Has anyone seen a Sport Arm band ( running and Gym )for it?

Thank you and so long Apple!

HTC Inspire is basically the SAME exact phone as the Desire HD released in Europe. So cases for the Desire HD will fit the Inspire.

The Inspire is mainly based around the HTC Evo.

The OtterBox Commuter or Defender are one of the better cases offered and depends on how much of a level of protection and if u want to holster the phone. There are some batteries offered on eBay but don't know about quality and I'm sure Seidio will have a battery soon for the Inspire.

Thanks guys..

That otter box looks like a beast, does it make the phone look huge?

Also how do you handle music, video podcasts, etc when syncing with your computer? Is there a standard app for that or its just what ever you like to use from the market?

I use the Seidio Innocase II with holster with mine. Works great and doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone.

I'm also coming from an iPhone 3GS, and the beauty of this phone is that you don't need to be tied to your computer for everything. I did copy a bunch of albums straight from my iTunes music folder to the SD card and they play in the built-in music app just fine, but for podcasts I'm pretty happy with the BeyondPod app. So often with my iPhone I'd have to start up my computer every evening just to update my podcasts, but with this app I can do it whenever I feel like it right on the phone. I don't watch any video podcasts so I'm not 100% sure it can handle those, but if it doesn't I'd think another podcatcher does.

I'm pretty sure you can copy podcasts from your computer like music, but I honestly didn't look at that route at all because part of the point for me is to become less tied to my computer.

yea i use iTunes to organize my music, then just transfer the albums/files to my SD card over Wi-Fi with remote desktop

Hi everybody. I'm new to the forum, and to the Android. I've been reading some of the posts related to music and how to transfer/organize/sync it to the Android, but the thing is I don't understand how to do it!
I see things like "transfer the albums/files to my SD card over wi-fi with remote desktop" but I don't exactly know what you are talking about or how to do any of this.
Can anyone please, please explain in a very simple way, for someone like me who is not very tech savvy, just how I sync my itunes playlists so they show up on my phone the same way they do in my computer?
Thank you.

HTC Sync will sync music/files/photos. There is some problems with email syncing with HTC Sync but I haven't done it myself. Just find your music folder and it does the rest.

I have the Otterbox Defender Desire HD and it does add bulk but it is worth it for me to not be self conscious when I'm outdoors using it.

I actually forgot how thin and weightless this phone is (even though it is considered large and weighted). You get use to the bulk though and it doesn't bother me. The case does come with a belt holster as well but I never use it.

As for an arm band, I haven't seen any. Probably would have to find a very large generic armband holster.
