HTC backup did NOT restore photos

I had to do a factory reset on my HTC one, and used HTC backup to backup to my google drive. I ran the restore, but none of my pictures or videos came back. Nothing is in my google drive.

HTC Backup only backs up your settings, passwords and some app settings but not your Photos and Videos. Google + usually does all the backing up of your photos and videos as long as you have the auto backup turned on.

Then it's quite misleading for HTC backup to have a checkbox that says "Also back up the media content on my phone(this might take a bit longer)."

That's actually a significant serious infraction to tell the user that it's backing up something that it's not.
