HTC Backup/Restore problem

My phone started having some problems so I decided to reset it. I made sure it was fully backed up with HTC Account (Settings->Backup and reset). I then did a reset but it did not restore by apps/sms/settings etc. I then went over to HTC backup app to restore and while the 'Restore from backup' button lit up briefly when I clicked on it nothing happened. I then tried to update the app but it says the device is not compatible with by device. I then removed the HTC account add readded it and now I cant select the HTC account on the Backup and reset settings screen. Tthere is only the google account on the drop down.

Any ideas how I can sort this out or stop the problem happening in the future?

Welcome to the forums. The SMS/apps/settings aspect is hit and miss. Google saves some settings, but not all. App data and SMS usually needs another app or PC program to complete. I think HTC has a PC program to save some of that data.

It doesn't seem to support the 10, or the Ultra. However, the webpage may just be out of date.
