HTC Camera app on Nexus 6....SWEET

In order to shoot reasonably good slow motion video, the camera hardware and associated electronics must be capable of very high frame rates. There is a good explanation here: Tips For Shooting the Best Slow-Motion Video

An app cannot change the basic structure of your phone's camera system.

I guess our cameras can't handle that?

Well, I am guessing that you tried various apps ("I want a good slow motion app for my phone! Nothing even decent on the Store.") without success, so perhaps you are running up against Nexus 6 hardware limitations.

Just out of curiosity in general, for all of us owners with the Nexus 6 in particular, do you use an HTC camera application, and gallery application? Over the Google Photos app and camera app of course? The only real fly fine with the camera app is that when you want a flashlight off when its dim light in a setting or anywhere the photos come out blurry or dark because the flash doesn't always work. And when I don't tap the screen once to focus then take the photo the flash doesn't always kicked on. Would be HTC camera app, I noticed that the flash has more of a tendency of working. Not sure why that is.

Personally, I downloaded both the HTC Camera app and the HTC Gallery app.

So far, I tend to use the stock Google Camera app, and the HTC Gallery app.

My reasoning is that the Google Camera app seems to work well enough for my needs and I like the layout and organization of the HTC Gallery app much better than the stock Google Photos app.

See for me now, I was using the HTC camera app coupled with the Google photos gallery app. However whatever take your photo in the HTC camera app, it would not show up in the Google Photos app. When use both HTC haps in conjunction with each other of course, photo show up but that's the problem. But you said, I noticed that if you tap the screen one thing Google camera app the flash of turn on and then when you go to take the photo, it will flash to take a good photo in a dim setting or a dark setting.

Downloaded gallery app.since I like the gallery with my htc one . I hated stock gallery. Downloaded quick pic and like it a lot. But now its been sold and updated with many users complaining about it .

To get to the Panorama camera, tap the four circles icon in the bottom left corner. The camera selection menu will come up, and then chose the Panorama camera.

I downloaded gallery app. Just tried watching videos I've had and a video I just made to no success . anything I need to look into?
