HTC connect can scan but won't connect

Hi and thanks in advance for any help.
I have a HTC ONE M9 and a projector OPTOMA H181X.
I have the MICROSOFT MIRACAST adapter.
The adapter is working fine on the projector because, it is projecting the "ready to connect" screen.
I go to the HTC connect option on the phone. It scans and sees the projector but won't connect to it.
Can anyone please help?
