HTC Droid DNA - Anyone have the 4.4.2 Update yet?

If you want to do this with the official Verizon OTA, you'll have to have them activate your DNA, do the download, and then reactivate your M8. I did the exact same thing to get ICS on my Thunderbolt, which came out AFTER I upgraded to the DNA. Did it all over the phone with a Verizon rep.

If you have an SIM adapter, I'd think you could just swap the SIM out of the M8 to the DNA, and then update. I swap my SIM back and forth between my DNA and my M7 all the time.

Can't get high quality Facebook photos to sync with my contacts, crappy pixelated only, removed Facebook sync and re added a few times. Anyone else?

I was able to update my phone by popping the active VZ SIM card out of my S4, downloading over Wi-Fi, and then moving the SIM back to the S4...I didn't need to use a rep to reactivate either phone.

Has anyone tried their headphone jack since the update? Mine's not working, clean it out with air and the jack looks clean.

Mine works fine.

I've just developed a short in my charging cable...time to buy another one.

I found this to be the case too, but I then set my max messages to 200 instead of unlimited and it became much more responsive

There is an option in the people settings menu to choose whether to download larger images over WiFi only or not

has anyone noticed that with this 4.4.2 update on the Droid DNA that the data just randomly drops and also during a conference call you cannot flash or hang up on the last called party??? what gives??? this update seems like a downgrade!!! please comment!

This update is sub par, dropped my first call that I received on the phone since the update, not a good start. I have to reboot or airplane Mose constantly just to get the data to work properly. Android system eats my battery. I wish I could go back to the old version without wiping again

I'm getting all kinds of SMS issues now.

I use Handcent. And now there is always a "sending" notification when a message is going out, even though I've disabled that in Handcent. I also get a data usage notification as it sends, this never showed up before. I clicked on it while it was sending once and tried to disable, and it wouldn't allow me to uncheck the disable notification box. (it's there, but I can't uncheck it)

It's also much laggier than before when sending and receiving messages, it will freeze me up as a message comes in if I'm typing a new message. It's really getting old fast. Its so laggy now I can't even click on the correct message as they come in per contact, I will go to click and the message will not respond, and then another message will come in and I've automatically chosen whatever message is in the space where I tapped 3 seconds before.

This is very frustrating, my phone was fine 6 months ago, I hoped this update would make it more useful after last Decembers update, and now it's just infinitely worse. Is this how they're going to make me upgrade when I really was satisfied with my phone? I'm sad! I liked this phone and I've only had it a year, I was hoping to make it last and not upgrade for quite some time. I swear with these problems with every update I'll probably be popping over to a Samsung next.

Just received the first of what they say will be two updates that preceed the KK update. But, typically with Verizon, NO info on the second update or when KK arrives.

Phone has been working better since the HTC operating system overhaul/update. But there are still so many annoying quirks I feel a bit stuck until I'm eligible for an upgrade next year.

The Dev options has been hidden. To unlock you need to go to Settings>About>Software Information>More>Then tap on the Build Number 7 times. You will then have a Developer Options under the settings System section just above About.

Do I also have to click my heels three times and spin in a circle?

I'm having troubles with the update. It's been running for more than 45 minutes. I pushed the volume up and power button to see what's going on and it says the following:

Finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
Installing update
Warning: No file_contextsPreparing wr_bin tool
Preparing recovery.zip
Running wr_bin tool

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got the update this morning. Install went fine. After update, kept getting "Unfortunately, Google Calendar Sync has stopped" randomly and when trying to sync my Google Calendar (see attached). Tried clearing several accounts from sync & re-adding, rebooting, clearing calendar data & cache, etc; nothing worked. Finally removed my Google account entirely and re-added it, problem went away. Someone posted this solution on a Verizon forum (https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/1050552).
Hope this helps someone else.

I think my phone literally cycled through like 8-10 times before the update FINALLY got done. Lol I think a "few reboots" is an understatement. Make sure your plugged into your charger.
