I just read an article on appy geek about the red HTC One showing up on a website for a UK retailer. Sadly, this goes against one of my hopes that the red model was destined for Verizon.
Also, I haven't yet seen any fcc filings for a HTC device for Verizon. I'm really hoping a new phone will appear before "late summer".

I'm positive that the HTC device coming to Verizon will include wireless charging. It's become a staple for Verizon smartphones now. There hasn't been a higher end smartphone that hasn't included this feature over the past few months. Even when compare the same device across carriers (HTC 8X), Verizon would have wireless charging. It's their thing now.

I read this as nothing coming anytime soon. Maybe I will go get another Note next week.

It seems there is another leak from an insider claiming the HTC One is coming to Verizon as is. This raises a question as to whether to buy the One, if this is true, or to see if the DNA+ will be running 4.2 and sense 5.1.

Now that the Lumia 928 is official, what's the announcement going to be? Now is a good time to ask Verizon salespeople what's coming up. It is too close for them not to have in store documentation, possibly the devices. If you are going to try to chat them up, don't do it when they're busy in the store. They gotta make a buck.

Well if it does come, and it has the same capacitive button problems as the HTC One, I will be disappointed. Maybe it will ship with the button fixing firmware ( and 4.2??). If we have to wait for firmware updates from Verizon we are doomed.
I agree. If they waited this long and the phone doesn't have 4.2, I will be disappointed.
I'll still buy it happily though.

I hope Verizon gets the One or a DNA+ based version that is basically just a rebranded One. I have a Gnex and it is dogging regardless of the ROM I flash. Plus I am just tired of Samsung hardware. I got the DROID Incredible on launch day and loved that phone; really want to go back to HTC hardware. A colleague has the One on TMo and it just feels fantastic.

Unless something materializes soon, I am calling this one dead. Htc's cycle the last couple of years would say that they will have a mid range phone to hit Verizon in the summer and not another Verizon flagship till November. And then it stars over for their flagship that is on every carrier except Verizon in the spring.

I returned my Note 2 today - loved that phone/blet - Sensational device; better than the Iphone etc, and I stand by that. However , for my needs it isn't practical, it's too damn big.
I'm back on my Iphone5 which now looks like I'm typing on a chicklet; eyes needs to re-adjust.
I'm holding off on the S4 as well; I'm reading too many sketchy reviews , comments and complaints.,
Plus my heart wasn't in the S4 - I tried to convince myself, do it, wait for it get it next week 5 inch screen etc, - BUT you know what? ...do you? the Droid DNA screen is sharper, crisper , brighter and better than the S4.
I went in and used the HTC One @ ATT (yes I used I showered afterwards) and that's the phone I want and need. I felt the same way about the Iphone in 08' - I won't settle.
$30 a month in Data - I refuse to settle., My eyes still tell me that the Iphone screen is sharper & cleaner than the Samsung S4 and Note 2.
6 weeks from now , the ONE comes to VZW? I ebay the Iphone and I'm first on line,
Never settle.

I have learned to take the comments of a sales person with that perverbial "grain of salt". It would eb nice if that happend (DNA PLus) as my upgrade is due in 2 months.
I was in a Radio Shack today and there was a VZW rep in the tore. I asked about the S4 and was told it was launching on 5/23/13. I specifically asked about the 32 GB version and he gave the same answer. I'll believe it when I seee it.

I'm tired of settling for what vzw gives us when they feel like giving it. Pretty sure I'll sell my Note 8 and go with att.

Most places don't pay a commission on non contract purchases, so he probably wasn't losing anything. And there's no risk in telling you purely speculative info, which is half of what reps. give out until the hard copy info is in hand.
That said, it fits the VZW style to get one later and trimmed to their taste. The big question is how long? If I were in your spot, Id buy the Note 2, then sell it and grab the HTC if/when it shows up. As long as you take good care of it, you probably won't lose much money on it.

I really hope Verizon gets the One/DNA+ before July 7th. Seems like a new HTC phone is coming. Just hope it's soon.

Verizon has received its Incredible series updates in the summertime. Here's hoping they ditch it for the One or the Butterfly/DNA+.
As pretty as the Samsung is, I had the original Galaxy and I hated Touchwiz. I know it is improved, I've played with one in a store, but still. I always secretly wanted an HTC phone.
I hope you're wrong! I want Verizon to do something decent for once.
