HTC email program missing text from hotmail/iphone

I received a couple emails today from an iphone sent email(may not matter) sent to my hotmail account. The messages show up fine in hotmail. In the HTC email program, the attachment(picture) is available but no text. The only text is the senders name which shows up at the bottom of the message in HTC email but not in the original on hotmails site.

How can this be?
