htc evo with jabra 120s

I bought a jabra 120s 3.5mm bluetooth adapter, to plug into my onkyo home theater receiver. I wanted to connect my evo to the jabra and listen to some music from my phone to the receiver without any wires. Is this not possible? Am i using the wrong adapter? I tried to pair my phone with the adapter and the adapter does not show up on my evo. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA
