HTC Hero Memory Leak

Over the past couple weeks I have noticed that my Hero has developed the dreaded memory leak. It used to say I had about 100-120Mb of internal memory, then I got a warning saying that it was low and I only had 6Mb. I cleared the cache, erased all messages, and even erased 75% of my apps (down to less than 20). The most I have now is 40-45Mb and it constantly drops. I heard this is a problem with 2.1 on the Hero. Are there any ROM's available that can fix this?

ive used all of beezy420 roms since i rooted i never had that problem and i am currently running cm6 froyo nightlies they work great as well

Same here, I have Honeybun and runs solid.

Are you using stock 2.1 or a ROM?
