Just wanted to post in here to let you guys know that there's an update to the lockscreen live in the play store now. It apparently fixes that issue pointed out when the M8 first launched where you can factory reset the phone if you get locked out by the password a certain number of times.

Cool. Thanks for letting us know.

Sent from my nifty 2 year old AT&T HTC One XL

Judging by the reviews, the update is very buggy and causing boot loops. Also interesting is that it shows to only have 50 downloads but 958 reviews. I'm gonna hold off this one for the time being.

Maybe I was lucky ? I updated & no issues.

Meh, my lock screen has always worked well, so I will skip this update.

Got the M8 update this morning on VZW and after I rebooted after the install this installed right after. No issues so far...

I think the update is only available on OS 4.4.3. I checked for it when I first saw this thread before I took the Verizon update and it wasn't there. I downgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 (I refuse to call it an upgrade when it's not as good as the prior version) and then the Lock screen app appeared in Play. I did go ahead and update it with no issues, but I'm wondering what they changed to help prevent accidental resets. It doesn't give the specifics in the what's new section.

I'm on vzw and running 4.4.4 and got the update a couple days ago. No problems here...
