HTC M8 Lense Residue/Scratch Buildup

I got a magic eraser. How much pressure do you guys use? How long?

I'm worried if I exchange it I'll have the same issue.

I added just a bit of water in the corner of the eraser I planned to use, then make sure to wring out the excess to prevent water from dripping into the lens and getting inside the phone. Then just wipe the lens very lightly, checking to see if it's clearing up. If not, use a bit more pressure. It's best to start light and not be enough, than to use too much and risk squeezing water out as you use it.

I don't know about now, but several people on here that did exchange/repair it through HTC in the beginning did have the same problem again.

Update, so the issue on the lens cannot be solved with traditional methods posted here because its actually under the lense.

Htc will replace the lense but I don't want a phone that selfdestructs its own value.

No the problems are not under the lens.
The actual lens is protected by a flat glass len protector. Scratches build up on this.

It is user abuse or normal wear and tear, not self destruction. If you have nothing helpful to offer, don't show up just to post FUD.
