Hi all

I have just moved to the HTC M8 from iPhone and am having some problems with the SD card. My phone only has 16Gb of internal storage and once all the apps and so forth are loaded on it's much much less, so I thought an SD card was a must - I have about 1500 photos I wanted to transfer over.

I bought a 64Gb Toshiba SDXC class 10 card but ye gods is it slow. It takes several seconds to transfer ONE 3Mb picture (through Settings->Storage->Make more space). Then the thumbnails don't show up properly in the Gallery either.

Is this the norm or is something horribly awry? About to try reformatting the SD card but that's going to mean slooooowly moving everything back again.

I'd recommend reformatting. I'm using a 32GB Samsung card class 10, it's super smooth and no issues. My card came from my Nokia 808 (Symbian OS) no formatting.

I haven't had that kind of issue with my 64GB card from SanDisk. Class 10 and it acts like it.
