The Samsung works like a dream. Why you want the HTC one? I dont know if it would work.

The HTC MHL adapter works great. I had the HTC one from when I had the EVO 3D so I didn't need to buy a new one when I switched to the Galaxy Nexus.

I recommend you a TT-AC01 MHL-Adapter from Taotronics. I bought this one weeks ago. Works well. I can see the videos in my HDTV from my HTC Evo 3D with my friend. So convenient.
