Haha.. Hopefully the store clerk doesn't get fired and come after him seeking revenge. Saw a movie like that once.
Got some information about HTC One stock, AT&T, and Preorders...
tl;dr Just wait for your One to come in the mail.
So I went to an AT&T corporate store close to where I work and they said they would sell me an HTC One(Its in Shenandoah, Texas 77385 if someone wants to go get One) . I told them I had preordered it and asked if I could maybe just cancel the preorder and just buy One from the store, they said "Sure just call 611 and cancel the order." So I did and the lady ended up telling me there wasnt anything she could do to cancel it since I had signed the terms & conditions. Walked out of that AT&T without a One.
Called up the AT&T corp. store I preordered at and was told "as long as it hasn't shipped yet, you can come in and pick One up." So I drive up there, tell the rep(not the guy I talked to on the phone, the guy that told me that wouldn't make eye contact with me) what the other guy told me and he said "Well we have them but we're not supposed to sell it until the 19th." I even told him someone from THIS store told me I could come get One today as long as it hasn't shipped. He still said we can't sell it to the 19th. Left an AT&T again without a One. Bastards. So being the persistent little bugger I am, I called up that AT&T after I left and asked if I could reverse the upgrade completely. They said, "Sure, just call 611." -.- One last call to 611 using the "reverse upgrade" technique the guy told me, "Well I can't do anything because we need certain information from the store you ordered from, they should have called us in-store." He even told me I was getting the run-around.
Losing hope, I called up an AT&T retailer close to me just to see if they had stock and they told me they didn't even have a display yet.
So, gentleman, if you preordered the HTC One we're just going to have to be patient and hope we get them early.

One plus side to all that was I got to play with a demo unit. Can not wait until it gets here!

My local store said they have it in stock, I'll have to check it out tomorrow possibly, too busy today.
If they have a 64gb locally I may be tempted. Another week on this iPhone is going to feel like eternity. Ugh.

I got mine last night. I guess I'll cancel my unlocked version now. This phone is simply amazing, never used hardware this nice before.

The silver is actually a sexy phone. If you are set on black then just be patient until it's announced.
Tried calling about 10 stores no one has em =\. They were corporate and authorized dealers. Any suggestions in the ny nj area ill drive anywhere lol
Is everyone having luck now buying them today?? What I don't understand is they have them on display with price and everything, yet they say not until next week??? Why put it on display then?
I'm in SoCal and every store I have been to has sold all there stock already, but I guess that is a good thing because that means that they are in fact selling them already...
