htc one battery life over heat issue

Hi guys i own an htc one i am having this issue of batter life that it has so low battery life that it finishes in 3 hrs nd during the night at least 20% charge drops the thing is i use a samsung charger do i wanna ask does that this effect the battery life and i have. A hard kuboo folding cover can this be the cause of so much heat and thank u and tell me sm tips to improve batterY life and tell me that shld remove the cover or not and shld i change the charger to htc or not:'''(

You should look into getting a replacement life. Using almost all of the battery in three hours is not as intended.
