HTC One Camera: Can anybody explain this to me?

I am facing the same issue on my phone... Quite a buzz kill given the money spent... It's some sort of a hardware malfunction as no update till now has been able to resolve the issue.. solution is to simply exchange the phone..

This is a software issue. I did not have the purple tint prior to 4.3 and now I have. I have also read somewhere HTC are readying another fix (4.3 was supposed to fix this for peeps who had prior purpleness) hopefully with 4.4

Send it in for mine had same issue. Software isn't going to fix the issue. Basically the way HTC described it to me there is a sensor on the camera that is burned out from heat. That only happens in dark or night time photos. If you still have warranty send it in to HTC and they will replace entire camera module takes like 2 weeks from time you send it maybe 1 if you get lucky. Only cost is shipping it to their facility. If you are out of warranty then my guess I'd that it's probably like a 100 repair since that is their standard charge.
