Not using an app, all pictures were taken with the stock camera app.

Really?? I got the HTC One 2 days ago, I had no idea the stock camera can take panorama. Thanks for letting me know!

Here's my problem. I took a few pictures at work to use as examples (default settings on auto). The first is the inside of a shipping container. Grainy but not horrible. The second is the same shipping container but just a step closer. All of my low light photos end up like this with a blue or purple tinge. My coworker with an iPhone took that same shot and it looked great. To further illustrate the problem, I took a third picture with the phone camera face down on a desk. Once again, clearly purple instead of black.
I've done some research online and found other people with the same type of issue. No one seems to know if the cause is hardware or software based. I don't mind sending my phone in to HTC for repair other than the fact that the previous owner (I bought it on Craigslist) rooted it so the bootloader says "Relocked". In addition, I have the T-Mobile version which I am using on At&t. If HTC can replace just the camera sensor I'd be OK. But, if they replace the entire phone I will would lose my SIM unlock.
Any suggestions?

Question: when I try to attach a picture from my computer, I add the picture, press upload, wait a bit and then a link like that above is added to the post. I would like to add the image thumbnail in the post itself as I see so many others doing. What am I doing wrong?

You click on 'Manage Attachments' and upload the image from there.

The post above has absolutely no editing done: that is exactly how it looked. Especially notice the blue sky to the far left. Very odd.
