Ok I don't know which I should be looking for or which is stable an all. And is this able to give OTA updates?

You won't get OTA updates after you flash a custom ROM. Let me look at the list for you. You have the AT&T version correct? Could you go to about phone and give me the software info?

Oh ok well as long as its a stable an closest as can be to a GPE up to date without all the extra things I see in some of the roms like making it customizable etc. I saw the slim kat rom an while its like stock it still had too much settings an features added.

But yes AT&T an software info is - android 4.3, htc sense 5.0 , software number 3.17.502.3 , htc sdk 5.45 ,

hboot shows 1.55 an I think the latest is the 4.4 for AT&T

Well after some thorough reading, the rumrunner S-OFF method seems to be the one to go. Are you using USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports?

Make sure usb debugging is enabled.

edit- no luck it says must sanitize skunky rum is nasty then shows ttttt with dots an says press enter to exit

ok i had to turn off the sleep saver in power options. well its finally s-off! whats next?

You have an unlocked bootloader, a custom recovery, root and S-Off. Last step is to flash the custom ROM

Do i need to do a backup of the sense rom first or when does doing backup come into play? just in case i want to switch back to a stock sense htc one
