HTC One M8 - No notifications on data
I have an HTC One M8 on Verizon. For the past month or so I have not been receiving app notifications, picture messages, or anything else requiring data while not connected to WiFi. I can surf the web and use most apps on data with minimal issue, but they will not refresh/receive notifications unless prompted. When I connect to WiFi I will get notifications for emails, snapchats, etc. For the most part this is just an annoyance. However, I recently thought I lost my phone and attempted to remote locate and lock it through Google device manager. It was unable to locate my phone (which was on and connected to data at the time). I set a password lock remotely as well. Once I found the phone, the remote lock was not enabled. As soon as I got to my home WiFi, it locked and rang like I had prompted earlier. So basically, if someone were to steal my phone, the remote lock would be worthless. Can someone please advise on how to fix this issue?
All software is up to date. Android 5.0.1 on HTC One M8. I don't have any data restrictions, my preferred network is "Global Mode", I'm not roaming, signal is fine.
