M8 or N5

Actually the z2 with its 20.7mp camera uses pixel binning, which doesn't end up being a 20mp image. It ends up being an 8mp image, same goes for Nokia's camera's. They advertise 41mp but in all reality it ends up being a 5mp image. Look it up.

Take a look at this crop:

M8 clearly lacks detail due to its lower pixel count, well Z2 looks out of focus .

I never said anything about the m8's ability to crop, I was simply stating that the advertised 20.7mp z2 camera doesn't net you a 20.7mp image. You said if you use 4x zoom with the z2 you can get a 5mp image and that simply isn't true

Also if you look at the end of that comparison there is a poll. While I'm not going to pretend to be able to read Chinese, the m8 was clearly voted number 1, by quite a margin

Edit: Just translated the page into english and the poll was for which phone had the best low light pictures. M8 won with 56% of the vote

Having owned both, the M8 by a mile and a half.

I was really disappointed with the N5 overall. But still surprised with the M8.

The M8 takes fantastic photos. Much better than on the Nexus 5. I'm getting better imagery from a 4mp shooter than the 8mp one with ois.
