As I've said before, I think the M8 camera gets a bad rap. I think this camera really excels at macro shots, and usually the color saturation is head and shoulders above the M7.

Kinda, I set it on the deck rail leaning against a flower pot. Set timer to 2 seconds to give myself enough time to stop movement.

Well done! Is it possible to set the ISO lower and use a longer shutter to reduce the noise?

At 4 sec shutter and 800 ISO it was pretty dark. I'll give it another whirl tonight, although the Super Moon is gone I think. lol

Hey guys so I'm really thinking about getting this phone but I'm really concerned about the front camera. Compared to my iPod 5 the quality to me seems a but blurrier, but can you guys share some photos or your experiences with me about the front camera? These shots with the rear camera look amazing! Thanks.

The front camera is awesome after you do the cleaning that is posted on here. There is a UV coating that is on there that get's scratched easily. Remove that and it's great. I was having the same issue with my FFC until I did that, now it works great.
