Oh well then I guess you are the standard for typical usage on a phone... Oh wait! You answer doesn't mean a thing!

Anyway 2300 wasn't enough for the HTC One for a power user. Only the LG g2 can satisfy power user.

How exactly are you defining power user then? Besides, you kinda forgot about the droid maxx

I'm a little late to the party here but I'm not seeing any reference to a fingerprint sensor on the new One. Did they get rid of it?

HTC should offer it in brown since its really a TURD. I was actually considering this phone until I saw the 16GB (10GB) usable space, I was hoping they were going to stick with the 32GB/64GB plus microSD. You cannot tell me adding a microSD caused them to reduce the storage and added too much expense. Missed the boat and please stop with the its the best phone of 2014 because its aluminum posts. Its NOT the best phone of 2014 and no phone is until 2014 is over and we see exactly what has been shipped, then we can vote. But the GS5 is the best phone of 2014 so far.

S5 also comes with 16GB with only 8GB usable space, band aid body, touch wiz that sounds more like the WORST phone of 2014

The GS5 is the best phone for last year. The GN3 is a better phone and was released last year. HTC redeemed themselves with adding micro sd support and giving 32gb of storage. The GS5 is far from the best.

People need to get over battery size too. Companies need to take note from what Moto did with the Moto X. It's not about the size, but how efficient the processor is being used.

Very true, but the problem with that is most companies haven't done that yet which is why people want a bigger battery. If they are not going to optimize than you will either need a big battery or the phone will die pretty fast. Plus with the Moto X the screen was only 720p so that helped with the optimizing they did.

I really hope HTC has done some good things and the battery life gets through a full heavy day, not light usage.

Personally, I have a Anker portable battery charger and a car charger. This is all I need to get me through a FULL DAY. If I want a phone (htc new one), I'm no going to let a non removable battery or a smaller battery be the reason I don't get it.

Screen size, UI, Updates and storage options are the only things that sway me to and from a phone.

Just lifted this from Reddit. Appears to be legit.
1.920 x 1.080 Pixel

160 Gramm

Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (2,3 GHz) Adreno 330

2 GB RAM

4.1 Megapixel which should give us better pictures then comparable 12-16mp cameras

2nd camera = 2mp for depth information. 3d effects and refocus

1.080p HDR video

Dual-LED-Blitz flash

2.600 mAh

new energy modus --> gives you 15h runtime out of 5 % remaining battery

Also, here is a 14 minute tour of the M8. Heads up, it's in German.

Wait a minute? Energy Modus? I need to hear more about that! Anyone?

Probably similar to what Samsung does with their Ultra Power Saver Mode (all they're missing is a Megazord lol) in that it kills all but the bare necessities. Samsung says you can still make calls, receive texts, and get on the Internet (EDGE? didn't specify). They claim 6 hours on 1%. I'm assuming that's pure standby time, but again it wasn't specified to me.

LOL....fair enough but you know that it's true:)

No, we don't. ;)

I watched that video. I don't understand a lick of what's being said, but I do like the brushed finish on the exterior. :)

I'm not sure how anyone thinks a 4.1 MP picture can be comparable to a 12-16 MP picture (assuming decent Optics/ISP/Software. Did they learn anything from the One.

I hope that's wrong and it has an 8 MP back camera.
