HTC One (M8): What is everyone using for cases?

Was there a case in the box? Hmm I didn't even look in my box yet I know there was ear buds.

At the moment using the free one included in the box. Ordered screen protector and clear crystal case. But really want to use it naked. It's so gorgeous.

Idk as the US models have the case included.

I just ordered the SUP case on Amazon for $5 it reminds me of the Speck case covers the screen and the back so my cameras ends screen cracks will be prevented with this case looks nice and you can't beat the money

Mine (ATT) didn't come with a case. I haven't even set it up with phone service yet because I'm waiting for a case. Too heavy and slippery for me to tote around w/o one.

Just tested out the official double dip. I agree with another user in this thread that it's loose feeling. It slides around a little in the case. Shame too because it's slimmer than another similar cases and has a nice feel.

Thus far my favorite case is still the Incipio.

I picked up what I'm assuming may be a Verizon exclusive color of the Incipio DualPro Shine series (a really nice metallic red). I've had one main complaint with the DualPro series in the past that Incipio seems to have fixed: the inner TPU lining use to be made of a very soft and flimsy material that would not hold its shape over time and began to warp and look stretched. The new material is much more firm and seems like it won't have that issue. All in all, I like the case. It's also one of the few cases that also keeps the memory card slot available without having to remove the cover. Granted, I'm never going to use a memory card because memory cards are evil for performance, but it's nice to have the option without having to remove the case.

Pictures don't do it justice.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think this case is similar to the Shine series as opposed to the normal Dual Pro? Also I remember the Shine series affecting reception on my One (M7). Have you noticed any difference with reception in your experience? I noticed it more in areas where LTE reception wasn't the greatest.

I'm not 100% sure, but I mostly assumed it was part of the Shine series of the DualPro cases because the back of the case is more metallic and smooth in design and the standard DualPro series is more of a matte/soft finish. Also, and I only say this from remembering the Incipio DualPro and Shine for the M7, the bezel of the case around the screen on the non-Shine was thicker and the Shine was smaller. This one resembles what I remember of the Shine series for the M7 in that it's smaller and more attractive in appearance. Now, for all I know they may have changed that on the new cases and they may be identical in that respect.

Also, I haven't noticed any reception issues thus far.

After trying about 4 different cases, I finally found what I was looking for. I wanted a thin, clear case to offer some protection but still show off the beauty of the phone. I also wanted a case that didn't cover the power button/IR blaster.

I came across this Griffin case on a popular auction website. I got it in 3 days, and it fits perfectly. It's semi flexible but hard on the back, with some grip on the sides. It is very thin and adds minimal weight/bulk. It is perfect!

Man I have so many cases to try once I get my phone, including this one. I like that this is a one piece design. The others that look like this look like 2-piece cases, which I'd think would snap apart if the phone is dropped just right.

Cool, good to know. Thanks! I wonder if the black/grey combo falls into this same category of not being too big. That red looks sharp tho.

I can confirm that the IR blaster is not affected by the case! I have it and it is not a bad case at all!

How is it using the volume rocker that is fully covered. I have the Cruzerlite Bugdroid case which is similar, but it has the cutout for the volume.

This was meant for dabluesman1m8. See next post.
