HTC One not for me, not now anyway. HOLD UP! Now it is.

Re: HTC One not for me, not now anyway.

I am returning mine as well. My reasoning surounds the un-ability to turn off and remove the "blink feed". I use my phone for work and I don't want or need this crap. Guess I will have to go back to a nexus device.

You know you can get rid of BlinkFeed by installing Nova Launcher?

Re: HTC One not for me, not now anyway.

Guys after my first attempt with the HTC One. I decided to give the Galaxy S4 a go, that was until I started reading all of the reviews this morning. I decided to go to the AT&T store and handle both devices. I knew after a couple minutes the GS4 was out, just not for me. I then played with the HTC One again and tried to recreate the multitasking issues I had on the first one. But it wouldn't do it. I also noticed that the bezel on this one was flush with the speakers. Could it all have been a defect or a bad unit? I don't know, but I do know that right now I am sitting here playing with my new HTC One and have had zero issues that I had with the first unit. Maybe there was a few bad HTC Ones. My original was out of the very first batch as I had it prior to release. Now I am completely happy with my HTC One.

Exactly which store had a working GS4 working model?

Wendover Avenue in Greensboro. Just put black and white on display.

Good show, neighbor. Sounds like you had a faulty pre - release unit.

Very interesting. I am starting to think mine was bad. I had the same multi tasking issues. My gs4 comes today but may end up picking up a dev HTC One down the road

Figured out a couple more things: The multitasking issue occurs only when too many programs are open. You have to self monitor this. The home and back button can have the responsiveness issue if using a screen protector.

Re: HTC One not for me, not now anyway.

I own both, stay with the ONE.

I have issues. I had a One sent it back. Ordered the Dev One this morning. Now watching youtube vids on my gs4 about the One like I have never used it lol. I need help. Its a sickness :)

Galaxy Note 2 also has some pretty outstanding battery life from what I hear. Not Razr Max levels, but well above average.

I've got a RAZR maxx HD and I find battery life about the same as my bolt with extended battery. I can easily go down 20% an hour with heavy use, not gaming just posting on forums, email, twitter, browsing internet etc. In fairness I often have brightness set to full.
