Hi the HTC one S is my first Android phone and for the most part I don't have many complaints. My biggest one is the battery, let me tell you why. Just today I unplugged my phone and went to work fully charged I listened to a podcast and downloaded a new one on my way to work. The only time I ever pull out my phone at work is during my 2 breaks and during my lunch. Most of the time I am just looking at twitter and reading articles and I hardly did any of that today. I also called my wife. After 10 hours of working I looked at my phone and I had 8% battery! I don't have anything on while I am at work and I try to turn off anything running in the background. This isn't the first time that this has happened and it's seems to be getting worse. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Someone posted a tutorial on doing a jump charge I would look at that. Also try to only charge your phone when its battery is low.

In your work place, do you have wi-fi connectivity? When the wi-fi is turned on, most of the battery is consumed by it. Turn off the wi-fi when you don't need it.

Nope like I said I turn everything off when I come to work. I have had my phone off of charge for 6 hours and I'm down to 50% battery already. With hardly any use.

Update: so I turned off my network data and the power quit draining. I guess there must be something on and constantly connecting that I am not noticing.

Could it be from 4G LTE possibly? I hear it drains battery pretty quickly.

You've probably got lots of apps syncing frequently. Dual them back to every 4 hours or less. Settings | Accounts & Sync for most. Some apps keep this option in their own Settings.

Search the General Help forum, it's a common issue for first time Androiders like us.

You can also use an app like Llama to turn mobile data network on and off based on time or location.
