HTC One S vs. Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I think the build quality and the dual core processor alone are pretty good reasons. It is a mid range phone that is actually pretty much comparable to the current top of the crop.

That actually makes me excited for what will come next in the year.

If you already own a Galaxy Nexus there is absolutely no way I would recommend trying to switch. If you are shopping try to choose between the two, there are advantages to either, all worth considering.

The Galaxy Nexus has unmolested ICS, a higher screen resolution, more support if you are into rooting and flashing ROMs, replaceable battery, and great accessory options already available.

The One S offers a better camera, Sense (which is nice and does offer useful features), smaller overall size, and faster data speeds on T-Mobile service.

The build quality of One S is much better than that of Galaxy Nexus. However, you will give up on good old vanilla ICS and have to get used to Sense.

I totally agree, I tried touchwiz & sense before and I found the battery life inconsistent & I wasn't impressed. I would check out the Once S Forums and get a feel of other user's experience and battery life feedback. But be forward, updates to jellybean will come first to the galaxy nexus.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet Jelly Bean will come first to the Google Play store in the form of the "next" rendition of the Nexus. And the upcoming Google tablet.

;)

HTC one s is where it's at!! This phone is a beast. Way faster than my HTC amaze and Samsung galaxy s2. I don't think the galaxy nexus will compare.
