I've gone through a few Android phones in the last year or so (HTC One X, GS3, Nexus 4) and I've noticed that they all approach MMS the same way. That is the pictures only go through if I am on mobile data, if I am only on WiFi the MMS doesn't come through until I turn mobile data back on if it even decided to come at all after that. However I noticed that with the One, it seems to temporarily turn data to download the picture then automatically switches it back off. Is this the true norm for MMS on Android or is the HTC One a rare exception?
