HTC One = Total Fail?

I think there are a few Samsung fan-boys here talking trash about HTC One because they are so afraid that HTC One might have more success than GS4 or Note 2.

The OP has been posting in this forum regularly for the last 2 weeks bashing the One. He acts like a certain mythical creature that lives under a bridge.

However, there is no chance that the One outsells the S4. And probably not the Note 2. HTC has failed at getting mainstream media on board which would've gotten them consumer recognition and sales. Tooo bad because I'll have the One next week!!!

You forgot to mention that the S3 is totally useless in bright sunlight and in most cases outdoors. The one x and now the one are much more viewable outdoors. Before you bash the one, try it in person, it is outstanding.

Got the One yesterday. Still learning all the nuances of the phone. Zoe is really fun and a nice touch. Reading all the post's on here I've learned that some people are going to be critical no matter how awesome the phone is. They made the Ultra Pixel so it produces greater low light smaller photos which is what MOST people use the camera for. If I want to blow up my photos I use my Canon. The build quality is the best of any phone bar none. I don't care if it has a doesn't have a removeable battery or extra storage. If Apple and Google don't see a need for it they must know something. I've learned that if 100 people see that WHITE car there will always be somebody that says it's not really white but has a red tint to it. I used to think the fight was Apple vs. Android. Now it's Samsung vs. everybody else.

of course they are Samsung fanboys are as bad as iphone fanboys,i am not a fan of any brand,HTC suites my needs and Samsung does not, mainly working outdoors the Samsung Amlod screen is nearly impossible to see,

it absolutely tickles me that with all this "quality build", shiny aluminum advantage over sg4 banter coming from htc one proponents- the first thing you guys do is rush out looking for a case to cover up your amazing art pieces..

I always wondered why so many people care about what the phone is made out of or how it looks and then go and put a case on it? Is their a reason? Not trying to start something. I understand people want to protect their investments but why does it matter if the phone is glass/aluminum/plastic if your going to put an otter box or some other case?

I've used black cases for almost every phone I've owned. The two exceptions were the E71 (no case - stainless steel and virtually indestructible) and the One.

I picked up clear case for the One so it can be seen but scratch free (for a while).

I can't stand cases on phones. Just be careful with it and if you damage it that is life.

I think it's more the fact that your getting what you paid for. I would much rather shell out $200 for something made out of aluminum than plastic. But that's just me. Nothing wrong with plastic but if your paying top dollar you should get a top dollar item.

If you read through the threads here you'll find that many people are opting to go caseless and just get insurance.

I wanted to hate the phone, my s3 went bye bye and i had to get a new one. S4 wasn't out yet so I got the one. I really tried to hate it, but it's just not possible... The resolution and overall qualities combined with the look, it's just viewtiful

I ll give you the point of not having such flexible software, but in the end I only miss the splitscreen

Ya I figured most people would he doing it to just protect their investment type of thing. Personally the only phones I used cases with are my iPhone 4 and nexus 4.

If you prefer aluminum that's fine but it's not like the Samsung Phones are cheap when you compare manufacturing costs. You still get a lot of phone for your money

Do I detect a hint of jealousy? Or maybe it is envy. I can't quite put my finger on it.

It's an epiphany. Samsung had on too and realized HTC was building a phone with quality in mind. That's why they hired people to bad mouth the one on Web sites and are now making noise about the future build quality of their own phones.

I don't care what kind of phone you have, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.

It doesn't matter about the production cost to me but how it feels. I'm not saying Samsung products are bad just lets be honest what do you think is a more premium material. Plastic or aluminum?
