HTC One X

Hello, new here. Tried installing update, but instead ended up erasing everything. Could not get past "Cannot mount sd card, but finally managed to and loaded One X 4.18.4013. Is this correct? I have an Evita. It has been 3 hours now. Shows no errors and supposedly still loading. But 3 hours? What could I be doing wrong? I had v4.1.1. Could I install an updated version? Any help and/or links would be appreciated. Even if I have to start from scratch. Thank you.
