HTC Rezound for $50 direct from Verizon online

That is a great deal but compared to the deal some got upon launch it seems bland. It was a big name chain, I forget what 3rd party retailer it was exactly, but they had it priced for a penny, .01.

That's dandy but the Rezound camera is not a slouch, as is. Besides, cameras don't need an official update to be modded and improved upon. Check out the mods made on the Sensation camera upgrade recently, on xda. Also, I haven't flashed it yet, but there's already a Sense 4.0 rom available for the Rezound. It looked to me that features on the camera are available. They just won't work the same manner in the processing dept. b/c of the dedicated imaging chip.

Well took the plunge and order it last night when i saw it dropped to 50. Only thing that kind of pissed me off was I had a 50 upgrade credit(1st new phone in 4 years) that it would not let me use. Do you think it would be worth a call and ? Ether way I am happy to be getting a smart phone and the one I have wanted

We ordered one for my wife yesterday. When the credit did not show up like you had happen I contacted CSR online, they noted it on the order and we called the phone CS and they fixed it immediately. All-in-all it took 5 minutes to get the 30 she was supposed to get.

How were you able to do this. I got mine in a store and they basically said sorry about your luck. Err. I bought mine on 3/22.

I believe that the $150 discount is for online store purchases only. If you want to get it from a brick and mortar your going to have to do a sales job.

I did however read something interesting.... One post went into the official HTC rooting capabilities and said that you may not want to use the official tools from HTC. Not sure I understand why you wouldn't take advantage of them?

Any thoughts?

I don't know what context he said that under but it makes little sense to me. Everyone has to use the same unlocking process. I've never read any complaints about using htcdevs to unlock. He's but one person in a group of thousands.

Now if I can just get UPS to FIND my replacement phone. It was supposed to be to me yesterday but they can't find it.

I have had the most strange luck with this phone, but I am not giving up on it.

Evo 4g has a dual core Krait chipset, not quad. Although, it's better than the T3 quad core.

Yeah baby! Just signed for mine!! Time to get started... Wow, I have to say, this really feels good in my hand. I've seen this puppy up close in a Verizon store, but I don't remember it feeling this comfortable. Much nicer than my Bionic. The Bionic is a tad wider, but just enough where it feels too wide. The Rezound is perfect!!

Gonna charge up the batteries (bought the extended, just in case!) and get to work on it this afternoon. I think I'll hold off on rooting it though, based on what I read. Maybe we'll get lucky and see ICS on this bad boy soon!! In the meantime, anyone have any tips on how to get my 32GB SD card from the Bionic to the Rezound?? Thanks!!

I just got this phone today for my girlfriend. (For the 50 bucks) Its her first smartphone. I'm browsing this forum now to see what I can do to improve her battery life and improve her user experience. (I'm on a Gnex)

She's not going to use it for much other than calls, at least not until she figures out what all it can do.

I'm hoping that ICS rom drops tomorrow.

I'm itching to join the Rezound ranks thru this deal but I have a bit of a dilemma;

VZW allows me to upgrade on either the 8th or 9th but this deal says it's good til the 9th. Now I am going to try to get the upgrade to go through on the 8th but if they won't let me do it til the actual 9th would this deal still be active?

In other words..is this price good til 11:59am on the 8th or the 9th?

After finally holding on to my wonderful DINC I decided to go for it. I just ordered my Rezound. What really helped me make that decision was the online price and $50 that Verizon gave me for another 2 years, which equals free phone. I had to call that in by the way being it didn't show up in checkout.....the $50 that is. Now that's a steal....
