HTC Rezound ICS UPDATE DOWNLOADED BUT DID NOT INSTALL, PLZ ADVISE

I have a stock Rezound and it has never been unlocked or tampered with in any fashion. I downloaded the 7mb file and then the 299mb file. I expected it to start rebooting and such but nothing ever happened after the downloads.

If this has been answered already then I apologize in advance. However, I did scour the net looking for this problem for about two hours before I signed up here and made this thread.

Personally stay with GB you will be happier. Just look at all the complaints with ICS. This is just my 2 cents.

You could try a factory reset (settings-->storage-->factory reset) and then after a reboot see if it will re download and install the update for ya. Sometimes the smallest issue can throw off the update process.
Remember to backup any data that is on internal storage and does not get synced w google servers (e.g. text messages) because you will lose it in the reset process.

Turning the phone off and then turning back on should get the download started

If all else fails. Boot into HBOOT, you can apply the update in stock recovery manually

Restarting the phone usually fixes these issues, it did for mine, it paused at the white HTC screen, that was a common issue on release day. Restarted the phone and re-downloaded the update and it installed perfectly, not a single issue since.

Well, thanks to everyone who responded on this. Im not sure what to do at this point. Really I would just like to CM9 on this thing like my Dinc. Why cant they just let me do what i want!? lol

Exactly. I pulled the SIM and the battery for a few minutes. It installed after booting up

You have to search for the update again and wait for a while on that same screen. Wait on the screen for about 60 seconds.
