HTC Sense 5 has been ported over to the HTC EVO 4G LTE, and the first public beta has been released

My video is live if anyone's interested.

Kronosqq, nice quick video showing the basic features of Sense 5.0. I can't wait for HTC to get this implemented. Just hope they can do it correctly and make it work like the devs have with the rom your using. *crossing fingers*

Thanks! I'd say the fact that devs have gotten it working this well this quickly is really promising for getting a relatively timely and high quality official update for it.

well its working now dont know if its because i went from r88 to r98 ( i think thats the latest build) or because i ejected it and put it back when i made sure my files were still there on my pc, but now it's all good can't wait for this to hit us officially ( and hopefully with the rumored 4.2)

Where'd you see those builds? All I see is r77

I was having that problem with about half of my cards. I don't know what it was, but it has stopped now.

Anyone having issues with streaming anything over 3g? It's the only real bug I've experienced but basically wifi gets Pandora YouTube, Google play music, etc, if I try on 3g the app will either crash or skip every song one by one without playing.

The latest builds have fixed that (R97 and above). I can stream YouTube and Pandora just fine over 3G. If you're not set up on SVN yet, do yourself a favor and do it. The initial setup is a little involved, but once you are, getting the latest updates is extremely easy. This thread is an excellent step-by-step how-to on getting set up.

or you can use terminal and type s5port it'll download the lastest build & Zip it then itll place it in the root of your SD

Both methods worked in terms of making the zip but it's aborting every time I try to flash it. Any ideas?

EDIT: Spoke too soon, I got it working, although YouTube is still crashing over 3G for me, music works though.

Maybe a bad download ? are you using svn
Yeah, with svn I had to double export for some reqson. Kinda weird but it worked. R100 whatever it is seems even smoother, I'm still unable to do YouTube over 3g though, but music streaming services work now. To those of you on the fence about trying this, a testament to how much I like sense 5 and it's performance is that despite issues like this I still haven't switched back to mean bean for my daily.

Does YouTube force close when you try to use it, or does it just continually buffer when you try to watch something? I know YouTube in general has sucked *** lately, even on my home WiFi.
You might want to do a full wipe and clean flash if you haven't done so already. Otherwise, it's hard to tell what's going on. I know it works at least on my phone running R97.

It force closes immediately upon trying to play a video, everything else is fine. I've reset the entire app data and cache wise.

I'm a noob, but I cannot get any of my HTC apps to work? Messaging, Gallery (I think this is an ongoing issue), Mail, People, even my dialer is screwy. I have to dial in a whole number, and can't use a name on it.

Any ideas? I clean flashed and I'm on R120. Downloading R123 now. I think it's something I'm doing though, as I had mostly the same issues on R110.

I cant get the TV remote app to work for me. I didnt know the Evo had IR

Told you I was a noob. I wiped, or thought I did, and it must not have worked like I thought it did. Did a factory wipe, and now it's working. Thanks for the tip!
