HTC sense is the problem for this phone period

I like sense but its too heavy and I think HTC didn't take enough time to analyze it well before releasing it. I mean picture this new evo with stock ics . The evo is by far the best android phone to date , I know this because I hack this phones.

If people are really annoyed by sense:

1. return the phone.

2. Root, custom ROM.

Here is what I don't understand....I read on here just yesterday about someone rooted there EVO LTE and said it was like a new phone, fast, works great etc....

What I don't understand is:

1. The fix for all these phones even the original EVO was to root.

2. If you root and the phone is great after that then why can't HTC put out a phone that is great without rooting.

Seem to me if all of us can root the phone and have a great working phone, why can't the ones that made it get it to work without rooting....??

Rooting the phone does nothing to fix anything. However, if you root the phone, you then have options to change certain settings or flash a different ROM. I know, it is just terminology, but it could be confusing to people who don't understand this.

If the comparison is 4.0 on the LTE vs a Galaxy Nexus I'm going with the LTE as I feel Sense compliments ICS nicely. I'm not a huge fan of vanilla ICS. HTC made the experience pleasant. I love this phone.

Yes I understand rooting and what it does, I am just saying the phone should work right out of the box and not have all the problems that is causing people to want to root. Even when HTC sends and update most of the problem still happen.

Also I have had my original EVO since day one, still stock, have all the updates and have never had any of the problems that others talk about on here daily...

Sense 4.0 is pretty good in my book. It is my favorite UI out there and I think it works pretty well with Android 4.0. However an improvement is always welcomed

Phones aren't always rooted because users are having issues and problems. Some people just root for the sake of rooting, or to get rid of bloatware, or to personalize the phone and put their own touches. HTC can't sell customized phone design for every individual.

Same here....no smartphone will ever be perfect...given current options...I like this phone more than anything on the market and yes I've already played with my budds international SGS3...
SGS3 vs EVO to me was like bad radios vs broken multitask which I'm more than sure will be fixed on the upcoming update..I love the kickstand and screen on this phone...and Media Link HD no other phone on the market can do that

So the media link is worth it?

So the media link is worth it?

Absolutely....I recently bought a second one for my car...I have wowed so many people with this thing...my cousin was showing off is Note while showing me his paragliding pics and videos...when I showed him mine...he loved the screen, when he mentioned that Notes bigger screen is more fun, you don't need to connect to a computer blah blah....I asked him to swipe 3 fingers on the screen, next I see he was all over my phone looking at the awesomeness and quality of this thing...lol

ON the contrary, i had nothing but headaches with custom ROMS on the OG evo. Right now i'm very happy with stock sense on my Evo LTE. Is it perfect? Of course not, no phone is perfect and people who think sense is the only issue are a bit delusional.

Things that could be tweeked? Memory management...its just the biggest issue on the phone from the multi-tasking issues to Sense restarting itself. But it hasn't ruined my day to day with phone yet. Perhaps i'm not a power user, but this is hands down my favorite phone in the last few years. Good stuff.
